We are pleased to introduce Dan Higham, who joined Soak Insure at the end of 2025 as a Client Advisor within our specialist Marine Insurance team.
Dan brings a refreshingly diverse professional background, combining strong technical expertise with a genuine passion for delivering exceptional client service. These qualities underpin his day-to-day work at Soak Insure, where he supports clients with clear, considered advice and arranges suitable insurance protection for their vessels and use.
Dan began his career as a Mechanical Design Engineer, developing a solid foundation in analytical thinking, precision and problem-solving. Following the birth of his first son, he made the bold decision to pursue a long-standing passion for photography. What started as a freelance venture quickly evolved into a successful full-service content and project support agency, working predominantly with clients in the construction sector.
Running his own business provided Dan with invaluable first-hand experience in managing client relationships, understanding complex requirements and delivering unique solutions – skills that translate seamlessly into his role within the insurance industry.
Dan is now focused on continuing to build his technical insurance knowledge in the marine space while applying his broad professional insight to deliver meaningful value and service to a wide range of clients.
Outside of work, Dan enjoys spending time outdoors with his two sons, cooking, particularly barbecuing, and unwinding by playing the guitar.
